These are used for precise inside diameter (ID), outside diameter (OD) and depth measurements. This is the most accurate way to measure in today’s world where precision is needed. These are very fine precision calipers that have an accuracy of .0005″ or 1/2 of one thousandths of an inch. They are switchable from inches to metric with the press of a button. The display is a large, clear LCD type and is powered by a common watch battery (included) available from anyplace batteries are sold. The caliper portion is constructed from hardened stainless steel. Each instrument comes in a shockproof plastic padded case.
