These are very fine precision calipers that have an accuracy of .0005" or 1/2 of one thousandths of an inch. They are switchable from inches to 8.90 metric with the press of a button. The display is a large, clear LCD type and is powered by a common watch battery (included) available from anyplace batteries are sold.
